woah ytd's badminton was.. er...
sorta cool? hahas it was the first time using the new badminton racquet anyway and i wasnt too used to it.. kept missing at the start... gaius' fren joined us.. before the hall was opened me n odie went n ran to the playground.. played arnd a bit.. then played outside the hall cuz it wasnt our turn.. then first round me n odie played against gaius n his fren lols.. i was kinda relieved cuz i wasnt too good yet.. haha i must warm up one.. ^^ but still, i kept making a lot of mistakes.. yes then continued to play.. then while waiting for our second round odie went outside to play with the shuttlecock.. and she came back in and was like, "hey cousin, can u come outside?" and then when outside she was like "the shuttlecock liked the roof.." and me:"ooomg...." she got the shuttlecock on the roof.. so i was trying to get up to the roof but it was real difficult.. so i said "nah i need a chair.. later i'll try getting upp there" [and the reason we needed to get that shuttlecock so badly was cuz odie's parents would kill her cuz we wuold need to pay for it.. and we werent gonna b bad girls n not tell anybody] plsu there were ppl arnd. so we plaed our second sound with 2 women.. who were kinda good.. and me n odie wer playing against each other cuz the two women wanted to.. and the one on odie's side insisted that odie serve [hah cuz odie keeps thinking she cant serve properly] which was real good cuz now odie noes how to serve liao heeh! yep so after that game i sat down n decided to get the chair from the storeroom.. and i brought it outside n tried again to grab the roof at least so i can step on this board thing nailed to the wall.. n i managed to grab the roof but i couldnt get my leg on the board! kay heres a pic so u can visualize haha..  yes then gaius n his fren came over n odie got them to help..so i climbed again n managed to grab the roof a couple of times but i stil couldnt get my leg on the board.. once i let go n missed the chair n nearly fell.. then gaiu' fren tried but he was too. .er heavy.. haha so they said "go shalyn!!" so .. sigh.. so i climbed again n the guys pushed my leg to the board n actually managed to get up ther.. n i crawled on my belly to the shuttlecock n i actually managed to get it yay! n i threw it down.. me shouting to odie "im never gonna do this again!!" gosh the roof was so cold against my belly n i couldnt tell if it was filthy or not.. and the hard part was getting down! i had sat up on the roof n i had to go on my belly again but my leg couldnt reach the board.. n gaius told his fren to let me step on his shoulder n then i can come down.. then while they were fighitng bout it i was dyring cuz i was on my belly with my legs dangling down.. n i was like "OH HURRY UP!" haha so i decided to get my shoes off n the bent down under me n i got down, kinda sat on him n swung myself down.. haha yay i was down! gosh what an experience.. and all that while there was one of the boys watching.. as in a fren of the two guys from last week's badminton.. n it was time to play our third round n we wer actually grouped with those 2 guys from last week.. n the guy watching was telling them obut how i was "trapped" on the roof.. =.=.. loools.. yeps so ytd was such a weird day.. ^^ but it was fun!

econs was fun een tho we had only 30 mins of lesson time..
assembly took up half hour of econs class!! >_< we practised batting for softball today.. and i sucked.. haha.. im no good at batting games.. i felt so noob.. plus i was in a group with only guys.. as in, we were grouped into like, 3-4.. and all my group members wer guys.. ah but they were oay.. i jus felt pai seh haha.. eh lol random thought but my chinese really is improving over here.. i mean, i htink im speaking better chinese than in sg.. maybe cuz my cousin's fren is chinese (and she only speaks chinese) and cuz i sometimes tok to my cousin in chinese too.. and cuz we watch taiwan dramas.. haha. my reading's definitely not changed tho.. mmmm awww tatty teddys r sooo cuute!! i want one.. but they're so expensive!! waaa~! i mean, look at it!! so cute!   the story of tatty teddy: The oldest, smallest house you can imagine was about to be knocked down. All the things that once made the house nice and cosy had been thrown outside and piled up in the front garden, from the soft springy bed the owners slept in, to the old wooden floorboards they used to walk on …and even, surely by some mistake, a little brown teddy bear. He was trapped amongst all the other unwanted things, and couldn't move. Then, one day…a very cold day, something fell from the sky… …a little snowflake It landed on the teddy bear's little nose and then was followed by many more. He began to get cold, very cold indeed. More and more snow fell, heavier and heavier. The little bear was now so cold that his nose started turning blue…so cold that his brown fur started turning grey. He was cold, unloved and all alone in the world, and felt very, very sad. Winter finally passed and the weather got warmer. One beautiful spring day, a little girl was playing near the old house, when she spotted the grey bear in the pile of unwanted things. He was like no other bear she had ever seen and she pulled him out from where he was trapped. She dusted him down and lifted him high in the sky to look at him. "A grey teddy bear…with a blue nose?" she thought. "How strange!" The teddy bear wanted to cry. He thought she didn't like him and would throw him back with the other unwanted things. "But he's lovely!" she continued and she fell completely in love with him. She ran home as fast as her little legs would carry her, to see if her Grandma could patch him up as a lot of his stuffing had fallen out, and he was very much in need of repair. She looked on as her Grandma replaced his stuffing and patched up his holes. His stitches had started showing where the fur had worn away, but the little girl thought he looked perfect. It was all cosy and warm in the little girl's house and the bear felt all cosy and warm in his heart. However, his nose was still blue and his fur was still grey, and they would never return to brown. He was unique among teddy bears. The little girl gave him a great big hug. She loved him more than anything else in the world…her little grey, blue-nosed… …Tatty Teddy.

depressing stuff nowadays..
& no one seems to be that happy lately.. we're all just.. living.. well, maybe its just me though.. some not so good discoveries today.. i went to the international students' dept. to hand some documents up.. asked the person bout getting a part time job here and she gave me a form.. AGAIN with the bloody troublesome crap.. i mean seriously, .... ok wait lemme get my form and list the things i need to do.. and here we are... NUMBER ONE! student's request to work, outlining the reasons and what type of work will be sought in writing and signed. NUMBER 2! written and signed permission form from parents allowing their son/daughter to work part time up to 10hrs during the week. NUMBER 3! written and signed permission form from caregiver NUMBER 4! (which i probably the one i'm most irritated with) variations of conditions of student permit form completed and attached. website dl details are blah blah.. and this means that i have to dl, print n complete some bloody long form for that.. downright idiotic.. but that isn't the main thing thats making me moody.. after asking the person bought jobs, i asked her bought scholarships! and another person in charge of intl students told me that i probably couldnt get a scholarship cuz im international!! and all along i was hoping i would get one.. i was determined i could get one.. and then this.. ... i'm gonna ask the teacher in careers dept tmr tho.. and the only way i am gonna get a permanent residenc-ship here is if my parents come here n apply.. if not,. sigh.. zen me ban?? if only there was a way for me to get a residence-ship here.. how how how?!? i missed the environment committee today.. why? CUZ I DIN NOE ABOUT IT! asked my fren how she knew.. said the person in charge called her up.. well he didnt call me then.. but i dont really mind.. i would've missed economics.. and a really lame joke bout my econs teacher that people who learn karate shouldnt join the army.. cuz theyll kill themselves saluting. omgosh.. *cold wind blowing* aha i like lame teachers.. they're so lame! i'm not sure if i wana join the a capella thing in sch.. sigh.. thought i'd 'step outta my comfort zone' kinda thing but its not working.. i can;t find the music noticebard where auditiony things were supposed to be. i think im gonna give it up.. but im waiting for badminton to come tho! next term!! i alredy got a badminton racquet.. for 37.50.. yonex carbon graphite.. had to make an irritating decision.. whether to buy the steel one or carbon graphite one.. ther was an offer for buy one item get other item at half price so me n odie had to get the same one.. song on radio now.. i alredy have someone to lean on but i wish i had someone tangible! haha! ^^ Sometimes in our lives we all have pain Lean on me, when you're not strong Please swallow your pride Lean on me, when you're not strong If there is a load you have to bear So just call on me brother, when you need a hand Lean on me when you're not strong Lean on me... i'm sure you know the song.. =D i dun seem to b able to make frens like those in sg here.. you all ae so great.. im really starting to miss u guys.. take care guys!! *flying kiss*

GALA SPORTS DAY - riccarton high. weee~ lols this is gonna be long..
3 days to cover but i dun htink i can rmb much of wad happened on erm wednesday.. just that we didnt get much homework yaye! lols.. oh yeah and that during the assembly a former principal came back n spoke to us v=cuz its the school's 50th anniversary.. okay so thursday was riccarton high's GALA SPORTS DAY! yay lols so i was kinda nervous (i joined 100m) and i really wasnt expecting to win or anything.. but oh heck the form teacher said we were supposed to join an event! and when i told odie i joined 100m and wasnt confident or nehting she kept saying but discus is so easy u shuda joined discus.. u just throw it.. ah yeah moving on, so we were allowed to wear mafti (meaning you can wear ur own clothes) and my class had chosen a colour to come in and they chose blue n so i had to wear a blue shirt which was odie's which used to be her bro's.. =_= kay im just crapping right now.. yes SO... i had my hair sprayed blue!! i tied my hair that day.. so i couldnt see what it looked like! but my fren said it was real nice.. hmm so maybe bllue lowlight would b good on my hair eh? xD not considering it though.. maybe when im older or sth.. yeah and then the sport day started and not too long later the 100m ppl wer suppsoed to go for the heats.. gosh i was so nervous.. >_< it was our turn! and the pistol went off and we stared running.. and the 1st second was okay then my thighs started aching and so i slowed down.. zzz... i dunno how to explain la but i just ran lor and i got 5th out of 6.. haha didnt expect much anyway.. *snniffs* hha and after that went back to the erm.. audience place? dunno what to call it.. oh yeah the whole thingwas in our sch field.. which is real big.. and theres this section for the students and then theres the running n stuff place.. lols.. yeah and whithin i dunno how long i started getting bored so i walked arnd a lot. and by 10.30 i'd alredy finished my sandwich.. so nothing left to do but wander arnd.. n i got to noe a year 9 malysian guy who speaks chinese.. blah blah blah dunno wad else to tok bout gala day.. OH YEAH! and my frens found this woman who wasd doing face paintings! and she said we wont have to pay for it! was so cool! my fren made a spider web thing, and another made a music note and i had a shark!! it was so nice.. altho a bit weird la haha but i liked it lots! and i realy couldnt bear to wash it off at night *sobs* really didnt wana see t go but i have pics! mm.. haha but arnd afternoon i started running arnd.. and i was jumping across the wire that was seperating the audience fr the field.. then after te whole thing already real tired liao.. but we had to go to this youth church thingy.. and we played some getting-to-know ppl games which were sorta fun.. so today! im extremely sore! cant walk fast n when i run i feel like im gonna fall over lols.. but it was fun.. today in classes a lot of ppl wer like, spre n sunburnt n tired n stuff.. im glad it was a pretty cool day.. mm n today we practiced pitching n catching with those softball gloves.. so fun.. i nearly got paired up with jon.. and he's an idiot lols.. ^^ likes to annoy ppl.. yeah i made some real nice catches.. so fun.. to bad i was still sore tho.. haha yeaaaps.. n im real tired too.. not talking much haha.. and i wana play badminton. and my econs teacher called it fairy tennis!! hmpf! pics!! Me, Sophia (she;s korean)  Me n Odie!  Sharkie! i miss you already.. ='(  and this crane like cloud i saw.. real cool!

lols its like sundays really are called SUNdays for a reason..
cuz the sun finally re-appeared after 3 days of dark clouds and rain!! n today morning was kiiinda sunny but dark cluds here n ther.. n the wind was cold.. and now its dark clouds + a bit of sun.. i think its gonna rain again sometime soon.. nth happened on saturday cuz it was raining e whole day.. we stayed home watching zhong ji yi jia.. a taiwan show that i odie asked me to buy n bing here.. n ytd (sunday) went to church and after lunch came back and watched more zhong ji yi jia.. i really wana play badminton leh zzzzz.... nowhre here that can play if u dun have a hall or sth.. cuz its too windy.. so i have to wait for end of this term which is when badminton starts.. i dunno if i shud buy a racket...

hellos!
today was sooooper cold i had to wear my polar fleece instead of the usual jersey.. polar fleece is made of wool i think and its like a jacket which u have to pull over. jersey is like a sweater made of cotton.. and it was raining from early morn till now.. heavy rain too.. and it makes evrything sooper cold.. my sch was full of real deep puddles, and my feet actually got nearly submerged in one of them while iw as rushing to class.. dam i hated that.. yeah so since this afternoon its been rain stop, rain stop till now.. and my hands were near frozen.. and it turns out my maths teacher's a little crazy too~! lols.. "girl: mr B, may u pls help me out with a qn? mr b: dont wear my name out, if people wear my name out then i wont have a name.." and i ant rmb what the girl said but lols.. he's a weird one.. then after that, girl: mr b can i ask u a qn? and he's like, okay and he couldnt get to the front of her table cuz the table alignment was in such a way that he couldnt get to her side, so guess what he did.. climbed over a table! and we all were like, woah..! and he continued to help her with her qn and when he was done he climbed on to the table.. another girl: hey i thought we weren't allowed to stand on tables.. mr b: well yeah students arent allowed to stand on table but im a teacher! i can do whatever i want! if i wana jump on the table i'll jump! and he started jumping on the table which was real scary cuz the table looked abt to give way. and then he started to get downand the chair fell over and he's like :dammit! and he jumped down.. lols... today was such a cold wet day.. im gonna go bathe now.. lets hope i dun freeze in the shower..

lols i think im actually falling in love with badminton..
ytd i played till so husang wee~! and today got muscle aches evrywhere =_='" can't bend down without getting complains from muscles evrywhere.. but still, i wana play badminton!! i WAANA play badminton argh... i kept complaining to odie about the playground place not having a badmintoncourt.. i mean, they have a tennis court, a squash place, an enclosed building for socer, a basketball court AND a big field for cricket n stuff.. AND NO BADMINTON COURT! ='( and the thing abt badminton is, i think i really wont mind entering a competition for badminton..? where swimming, i really dread competitions.. but i just had this thought "maybe its cuz in swimming u have to really strain ur body to swim fast, and in badminton u dun have to..." but i still like badminton. so im totally gonna join it in sch.. but its only A WINTER SPORT! which means they only play it in winter which is june-ish.. *sobs*

heya..! and everyone started laughing omg.. baaah… haha but that was a fun lesson la.. and today for pe we did like group work thing =_= which didn’t involve exercise at all.. so weird.. one of my pe classmate said “why does pe involve so much writing..?” mm I think I agree with him.. we’re going to play badminton with my aunt’s fren’s family now.. time to see if im good enough to join badminton in my school.. cuz I found out that the swimming sport in the school was only like, going to swimming competitions, and its not like, a regular sport meet kinda thing.. so im definitely not gonna join (cuz, well, I suck at competitive swimming) and rock climbing’s really expensive.. =’( I wish I could do rock climbing tho.. Sigh… So I guess im only left with things like badminton or tennis, cuz the rest I dun have a ‘thing’ for.. Ah oh well..

lols finished reading eragon liao..
not so bad.. my cousin told me the author was 15 yrs old when he wrote tat book.. so cool.. today was such a fun day hahaha.. went to church, then went to shop for groceries, then went for lunch (i had mee goreng which wasnt spicy but had ketchup and was real nice! serving real big tho..) then went to a park called jellie park (i found out today the park was named after the guy who gave the land to christchurch or sth.. and his surname was jellie.. haha what a surname..) and walked arnd cuz of the big lunch.. then me n odie went on the "octopus" thing, which was this weird playground thing that had four seats made out of tyres around a middle, and its supposed to be turned while ppl sat on it, while it can still move up n down.. hard to imagine like that.. sry.. but anyway yeah me n odie got on n after a while we wanted to go, and the thing is, when only 2 ppl r on it, sitting opposite each other, its real hard for both to get off safely cuz its sort like a see-saw.. when one gets off the other will crash down, excet in this case, when one gets off the other will crash toward the middle.. haha.. and i told odie to get off first n was getting ready but my jeans made it real diff to manouever.. so she got off without warning and i crashed to the middle and fell off, and heres the fun part, i fell to the floor while the seat came swinging toward the laughing-hysterically me, and i had to duck to the floor to avoid getting clubbed in the head (thank God the floor wasn't conrete or sand) and while i was still on the floor annother one came swinging toward me n i had to roll arnd to get up while still laughing like mad.. haha! it was so fun! better than odie crashing into me with her bicycle.. ah.... too bad i dun think i'll be able to pull that off again.. xD sch tmr! n its gonna b for a full 5 days.. n not just the two days like last week.. but i'll b having fried icefor lunch tmr during sch!! yayes..

i've started on a book called eragon!
my cousins say its much much better than the movie.. but i kinda liked the movie.. must b the same with harry potter book n movie.. book so nice but movie.. cmi.. =.= been going to sch 2 days so far.. i htink i've metall my subect teachers liao bahh.. maths teacher is bboring, science is kinda nice, econs is.. er.. hard to explain, accounts is this old teachers who's taught longer than i've lived, eng is my form teacher who's this young guy, pe is this kinda nice woman.. ya thats abt it i think.. sch's been fun n boring at the same time.. but i qute enjoy it la besides the fact that i feel like i dun fit in. i feel so intimidated by the ang mohs.. i dun talk to ppl sitting necxt to me (uness they're my frens of course) and i just pretty much dun socialise.. its so.. lonely.. so uncomfortable not being able to feel at ease with the toher ppl at sch like in sg.. im porbbly being insecure..

argh windows vista sucks la...
can't even play the sims on it.. keep installing n uninstalling still cant play.. zzzz..... im so bored now n dunno wad to do.. stupid vista.. today is public holiday for nz.. called waitangi day.. dunno wad it is exactly.. went to a wildlife reserve.. sth like zoo liddat lol but its not really a zoo.. have kiwis n diff kinds of birds and some other animals.. and have farm animals and miniature horses. those miniature horses look so dead mean.. like, if u watched happy feet, the part wher mumble's in the enclosure.. the horse was just stadnding der.. not caring bout anything arnd him.. so poor thing.. ya so the lace i think not much or no maintenance one.. like theres this part for the kiwis n its all dark, and when u go into the dark place u have to walk thru this enclosed place with walls n ceiling mde of wood, and the top was all covered with spider webbs and stuff .. after that went to shop for groceries.. tmr sch start liao!

mm today seemed like a bad day jus now..
cuz i was minding my own business playing the sims makin magic alone in the house [odie:sch, gaius:fren house, uncle n aunt: work] then suddenyl i got a call fr the school telling me i was supposed to b at school today! and i was like, :but mr philipson said i din need to come to sch till tuesday!" and she said "well its okay but if u could just come to school now..." and so i was left with no choice but to go to sch.. n i din noe if i was supposed to wear uniform so i jus wore to b safe, and i rushed to sch in the rain.. the cold cold rain.. my fingers were freezing by the time i got to sch.. and it turns out all i needed to do there was learn bout the computers n have my timetable printed.. the other international student told me they came abt 10 and did nothing.. cuz the teacher was taking so long to go thru each pupil's timetable.. and they had to rotate to go computer rm.. zz... so after sch i went to library to wait for odie, and when she finally came out she wanted to go library so i went home myself and continued playing sims.. so stayed home the whole day.. din go swings cuz it was so ocld i din feel like going out.. and my fingers r kinda numb so i cant even type properly.. hahas.. sht im gonna grow fat.. >< ate a lot of cookies n rubbish.. aaah...

woah i nearly forgot to update today..
not that many ppl boter to come read the stuff here but for all those whodo, thanks a lot! then my effort hasnt been going to waste.. slept real ate last night as well.. my family back in sg had reunion dinner and i stayed up to talk to them wif webcam.. my tortoise laid an egg!!! so cool! diana n damien ccut their hairs and don seem to fren me nemore ='( probly thought i abandoned em or sth haha.. my mum told me miho's been very guai nowadays.. yupps so glad to hear its all riht in sg.. im starting to miss the feeling of being at home with all u guys.. school's starting for me in a day! odie's gonna have to go to sch tmr cuz she has year 9 orientation.. its [i guess] like sec one orientation in sg cuz year nine is 1st yer o high sch. i dunno if im dreading sch or not now.. i'll just take it as it comes. after all its been al right for me so far.. yeps so the confirmed subjects i'll be taking r maths, science, economics, accounts and p.e. [which is a coompulsory subject] and english altho somehow im doing a easier level of english that i shud cuz im and inetrnational student.. they cal it ESL [english as a second language] argh.. its sad cuz english is.. well.. one of my better n more natural subjects.. i mean, its the only language im good at anyway.. totally suck at chiinese n stuff.. ahh well..

we just baked finish a whole batch of them..
cashew nut cookies for new year.. and they're so nice!! lols.. last night slept at probly arnd 5+am cuz me n odie wer reading.. hais the firs part of harry potter n the deathly hallows seemed a bit boring leh.. but harry seems to b losing a lot of things.. haha.. then woke up 12+ today and continued reading.. until afternoonish we went to timezome n i won lots of tickets!! cuz of the thing where u must press the button at the right time when the light bulb thingy reaches the "jackpot" part.. yeah i won it on two diff machines.. totally din expect it.. so cool! and my cousin keeps saying [jokingly of course] that it was cuz of him cuz he said "eek" at the time i was suppsed to hit n i really got the jackpot.. ahaha.. then we went home and uncle n aunty went to da bao kfc n macs cuz they got discount coupon.. n i had twister [the kfc n macs in nz very outdated] which tasted kinda bad cuz there wasnt much meat and no mayonnaise n stuff.. and the worst part is, the kfc n macs dun have the packet chilly.. ='( dammit.. yeah.. had dinner then went to swings... got real giddy on this turning thing at another part of e playground.. then came home, bathed and baked the cookies.. tmr going to first service.. but tonight my family back @ sg having reunion dinner so i must stay up n they gonna video call on msn.. x_x

today was boring..
din go out the whole day and ther wasnt much to play on the com.. i spent quite a lot of time on miniclip haha and playing a bit guitar and napping a bit at abt 3+ to 5+ then had a great dinner [salmon n curry chicken] then we went to library! and i got harry potter and the deathly hallows!! yayes!! im trying to rmb wad happened in half blood prince tho.. and i spent more time on miniclip playing motherload.. and i died after so long!! argh... now i wont noe wad actually happens in the end.. sigh.. yeah then i decided to stop playing n write here! and i think im gonna read harry potter now.. cant wait to c wad happens weee~! |
