 Hellos... thats me (duh..) in my uniform being shy haha.. i tried so many times to smile but it kept turning out crappy so wat the heck... heh chemistry has proven interesting enough..! monday we did a practical where we burned copper sulphate in oxygen and what comes out is a white solid (powdery thing) right? we put it on the table, took a small spatula, put it on our hands and dropped a bit of water on it.. then there'll b a sudden temperature change n it'll sorta burn ur palm? but its not that hot la.. yeh thats what we wer supposed to do.. the teacher dais the girls should try cuz apparently they can withstand pain better than guys.. Hah!! i like him.. ^^ haha but its so cool! i mean, i so totally see why we dont do this in sg cuz if someone complains to their parents the sch will end up getting sued or sth LOL.. i tried but i think i got too little on my hands n i didnt feel anything? zzz... but my fren put quite a bit and she didnt feel anything too.. altho ther wer quite a few ppl yelping after dropping the water.. one guy put it on his whole hand and wet it.. siao.. then today we burned iron n sulphate tgthr and the result was sorta like molten metal in a test tube? it was glowing red.. cool eh? the teacher said ther was a possibility the test tube might melt n if the metal inside goes on ur hand it'll burn a whole right through.. and if that happens it'll b bad cuz the benches will get damaged so someone would have to put their hands under the person's hand.. xD then (i was real surprised at this) the teacher told us we would be breaking the test tube to get the metal inside.. and i told my fren "woah! u noe, in sg we dont break test tubes on purpose" and she told me "haha yeah well here we do it all the time.. chem teacher likes breaking stuff" ^^ then we wer to mix (ammonium i think) with the metal? and he told us to pack our bags cuz it might get overbearing.. he said if we start feeling a bit oozy it'll b the first stages of death cz someone died on the toilet bowl when the gas went into the toilet.. think he was joking tho, cuz when we did it the whole classroom was filled with the smell.. it was totally unbearable i tell u!! smell of rotten eggs, or according to my fren, someone's ass.. evryone ran outta the classroom haha.. but the teacher was still in there clearing up.. i admire him for that.. xP yep also ytd badminton was fun altho it was reaaally bloody HOT .. today was hot as well but at least thers wind.. me n odelia found a real good position for badminton, she at the front n me at the back n running arnd.. its real good altho if the person smashes to the side we miss.. i dun like smashes >< |
