i guess sometimes people just want something to say..
like the "so, how was your week" and "how've you been?"
i can't say i totally agree that people don't care at all when they say those kinds of stuff,
but i think sometimes its just to break the momentary ice between people.
maybe to give the other the message that mayybe u do care about stuff happening in his/her life.
i know i ask and actually don't really care about the answer, and i think i do it because theres nothing else to say.

so, i usually try to see what i have a tendency to do and assume that most other people do it as well.
because i'm like most other people, and most other people are like me.

thats me for you.

gosh i wish there weren't 'awkward silences' between people. that we could all just stay quiet in a room till u could literally hear a pin drop and not feel weird about the silence. that you could face another person, not talk, and still feel comfortable.
to quote a line from 'Tuesdays with morrie', "why are we embarrassed by silence?"


but sometimes people can be such fakes.. trying to find out about another person on the pretext that you're 'concerned' about him/her. i wonder what people find so appealing about others' misfortunes/secrets and stuff. its so weird, and i'm sorry to say that even i can be like that sometimes. its a totally not right thing to do. not to mention a stupid thing as well..

and people know that, but they still do it.
